Energy Update

New homes are designed with efficiency in mind.  Many use 2 x 6 or 2 x 8 wall construction instead of 2 x 4 insulated wall construction.  Other factors that influence energy conservation are:  energy truss rafters, insulated basements, high efficiency furnaces, steel exterior efficient doors, double or triple pane windows or low # (emissivity) glass just to name a few.
